Aim:
To introduce some contemporary researches on intuition and some techniques for developing intuitive sense.
Have you ever had someone say to you, “I was just thinking that”? Have you been said that you are reading someone’s mind? Do you feel more tuned in to and deeply connected to some people than others? Have you even ignored your gut feeling in situations you were in risk?
We often have accused ourselves and said, “I knew I should [or should not] have done that!” We all have at least a handful of times in our lives when we felt that is happening something out of ordinary. Sometimes we had irrational feeling about something we need to do but stopped short, only to find out later that it would have been an excellent decision.
Call it intuition or our hunch.
So what exactly is intuition? It is the ability to know something without analytic reasoning, bridging the gap between the conscious and non-conscious parts of our mind.
This Mental Talk will take you through several exercises that are supposed to be designed to make intuition a common occurrence. We will present you some simple steps on how to access, develop and amplify intuition.
We will base the information on contemporary researches that work on develop the sixth senses or what the US Office of Naval Research (ONR) calls “spidey-sense.”
We are not soldiers and our work situation may not be life or death, but it can certainly be high-pressure. We will present you some techniques how you could sense a problem exists even when the spreadsheet says otherwise, figure out the most opportune time to secure a raise, forecast a trend at work before anyone else or sense a problem with a pending deal?
We will discuss some extraordinary phenomena like prophet dreams, deja vu , flashback memories and more.
